Vitamin K is the "key" to allow the flow of calcium in the bloodstream reaches the bones and bone marrow.
Vitamin K2, menaquinone-7 used in this formula is derived from Natto, fermented soybeans utilitzada in Japan since ancient times as a nutrient source. Menaquinone-7 has a longer shelf life than other forms of Vitamin K, and is traditionally used for nutritional support of the skeletal system and blood. Furthermore, levels of vitamin K found in Natto (K2) exceeded those present in many green vegetables (Vitamin K1), and has better absorption.
The haemostatic action of vitamin K is well known. It is essential for synthesis in the liver of four clotting proteins. Without vitamin K, coagulating the protein level in the blood and reduces clotting time is prolonged.
Vitamin K has been associated with osteoblasts, the cells that produce bone tissue. Vitamin K is essential to produce and activate osteocalcin specific protein which promotes calcium fixation in bones.
Vitamin K2 and stimulate and increase the production of osteocalcin inhibits osteoclasts and also helps to maintain bone.
